From soil to formula — a direct line between African & South American farms and European pharma and cosmetic brands.

COSIBA connects rural farmers and cooperatives sourcing raw agricultural ingredients — shea, moringa, cocoa butter, coconut oil — with pharmaceutical and cosmetic buyers in Europe who need traceable, certified supply.

Based in Bilthoven, Netherlands · Trading operations planned from November 2026

What we source

Raw materials, chosen for what European buyers actually need

We're building relationships around a small number of ingredients with proven demand in the EU cosmetics and pharmaceutical market — not spreading thin across everything at once.

Shea butter

Cosmetic and pharma grade, sourced from West and East Africa.

Moringa oil

Cold-pressed seed oil for skincare and wellbeing formulations.

Cocoa butter

Deodorised, pharma-grade butter sourced from South America.

Coconut oil

Virgin, cold-pressed oil for cosmetic applications.

Where we work

Four regions, one standard of traceability

West Africa

Shea butter cooperatives across the shea belt — our primary sourcing focus for 2026.

East Africa

Moringa oil and other seed oils from smallholder and cooperative growers.

South America

Cocoa butter sourcing, with an emphasis on fair, direct farmer relationships.

Southeast Asia

Coconut oil sourcing from established cooperative networks.

How it works

Every shipment follows the same trail, start to finish

This is the process we're building COSIBA around — one traceable path for every batch, so both farmer and buyer can see exactly where it stands.

Founder

OB

Olufunke Abiola Bereola

Founder & Director, COSIBA

Olufunke holds a BSc and MSc in Agricultural Economics, and is completing a second Master's at Wageningen University in Management, Economics and Consumer Studies. She brings hands-on B2B and B2C agricultural trading experience from West Africa, and founded COSIBA to build a direct, transparent trade route between the farmers she grew up around and the European companies that need what they grow. The name COSIBA comes from her own middle names — chosen because it's simple, memorable, and easy to say in any language.

Our commitment

Built around compliance, not around it

Every ingredient we bring to market will carry a Certificate of Analysis before it reaches a buyer.

We assess every farm and cooperative in person before working with them — traceability, hygiene, and fair payment come first.

We're building toward EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 compliance from day one, not retrofitting it later.

Farmers are paid fairly and consistently — no side deals outside the relationship COSIBA manages.
